今年の冬に小木イカ釣り船団のブログを書いて、あっという間に春になりました。小木では春になると、とも旗祭りの準備が始まり春の訪れを告げます。
とも旗祭りとは石川県指定無形民俗文化財に指定されています。全長２０ｍの旗を起こしそれぞれの旗に思いを込めて字を書き航海の安全と大漁を祈願しながら９艘のとも旗が湾内を運行します。
その際に、タイトルにもある通りイカ釣り船には漁以外の大仕事が待っています。とも旗の終盤９艘のとも旗を連結し海上パレードをします。その際に、先頭で曳くという仕事があります。
このようにとも旗を曳き航海の安全と大漁を祈願した後、小木のイカ釣り船は次々出航していきます。
